1 Litre of Tears *Japanese Drama*
This is the second time I've watched '1 Rittoru no Namida.'
This is probably the most saddest Japanese drama I have ever seen. I cried so much from beginning to end. My eyes were pink, sore and swollen. I had such a migraine from all that crying that I actually threw up, had to take a break and sleep before I could watch the next episode.
It's so heartbreaking.
The drama is about a 15-year old girl who is diagnosed with spinocerebellar ataxia, a degenerative disease. The drama follows her life from the time she was diagnosed to the very end at age 25.
The drama is based on the true story of Aya Kito. She wrote a diary called '1 Litre of Tears' until she could no longer hold a pencil.
