Hello friends!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hi everyone, how are all of you doing?

I haven't written anything in this journal for a while though I've checked my F-list every few days to update myself on the what's been going on.

[info]hd_holidays and [info]merry_smutmas!!!! I've read and seen all of the entries and they are just fantastic!! What a way to kick off my winter holiday. So I thank all those who submitted work because they've made my holiday awesome so far.

I'm finished school right now; my last exam was on the 14th. I got my grades back and passed everything!!!

I am so happy.

I've started writing a new Harry/Draco one shot but it still needs work and I need to find some motivation as I'm more inclined to read and lurk than write. ( ^-^;)

I just read this Naruto fanfic that made me snicker. It's basically a parody on Naruto highschool fic cliches.

To Fangirls, Without Love by nonpareil

I've also found some HP-crossovers that were pretty good.

phoenix_catcher has written many of them. They're WIP but the author updates so none of them are abandoned. I enjoyed the FFX and SG1 crossovers so far.

Beyond the Emerald Dawn by Araceil is a FF7xHP crossover.

I've been trying to find well-written crossover fics and am having a bit of a hard time finding them.

I've also registered for a de.li.cious account. It's so convenient!!!! I'm enjoying that too.

Well I guess that'll be all for my journal entry. I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday.

*~During dinner~*

All of us are sitting at the dinner table eating.

All: *eating food*
Mom: Here have some baby corn. *places some on our plates*
Brother 1: We're like eating aborted corn. Mmmmm....corn fetus.

It was just so absurd and unexpected that I burst out laughing.

My friend who I saw again on Friday evening at the concert gave me a Christmas gift. It's absolutely amazing and just 'wow' worthy.

She, [info]white_stellar, did the cging herself and printed the images onto photo paper. She's amazingly talented.

I feel so loved!!!!

Check these out:

Thank you Darling! You are most wonderful~

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In June I ruled Duluth, Minnesota as a cruel and heartless dictator (-700 points). Last month I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last Saturday I had a shoot-out with rival gang lords on the 5 near LA (-76 points). In February I gave [info]triggur a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). Last Friday I helped [info]triggur see the light (8 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-392 points). For Christmas I deserve a lump of coal!

Sincerely,

Tasers...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
There have been two deaths in the span of two months where I live in British Columbia of Canada.

Robert Dziekanski, 40, died at the Vancouver International Airport by a Police and Taser related incident in October. He was stunned twice and held down by four officers. He was planning to start a new life in Canada with his parents. He wasn't able to speak English and did not know where he was and where his mother was.

The RCMP are under a lot of fire right now.

And just today, there was another death. A Chilliwack man was taken down with tasers and baton by the police. And he was later in hospital and died. The cause of death is not 100% known. But just that fact that tasers were involved will spark more outrage.

There are so many people angry with the situation, with the usage of tasers.

Do you support the usage of tasers? Personally, I don't. I think that there could've been a better way. Those two men shouldn't have died. They could have lived if there were alternate methods used. Tasers are inhumane and they're used much too freely.

Plagiarism....

I was at FF.net when I saw 'Seamus is Seamus and you are yourself.' Copied and pasted and posted by someone other than the original author.

And in the poster's profile:

Now a little about 'my' fics:

All fics under my account are written by someone else unless stated other wise. I usually find them on sites that not so many people to and I post them on FF.net. Why? Because it is easier than trying to convince other people that some site is worth going to. I am currently at Uni and I can't seem to relocate the site on which I found them, so I don't have the name of the people who wrote them. If you know, let me know.

Although I do write, I have no attention span and I tend to lose interest very quickly. This is why I don't post anything. If I do end up writing something that I finish, I'll put it up.

Honestly..So not cool....

So scary....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Yesterday, after a study session with my friends, I got on the skytrain to go home.

Upon entering the cart, I noticed that the right side of the cart had only three people occupying the seats and rest were empty so I sat down there.

The right side of the train car looked like this seat wise. (0=empty seats; X=people)

Door 00X00
-------------00

---------X000
Door 0XX00

I was sitting on the right side. There were three men seated on the other side. The one sitting diagonally from me and the closest all of a sudden pulled out an exacto knife from his back pack. He flicked out the blade and was handling it in his right hand so casually.

Upon seeing that I just froze up and my heart was beating so rapidly. I was so scared and worried. I had worst-case scenerios running through my head.

The man brought up his left hand and he brought the knife close to his hand. I thought he was going to do something horrible to himself.

And then he just took the blade and started to scrape off dried gunk off his skin.

O.M.G I was close to panicking and that's all he wanted to do with his blade, clean himself. My parents and brother laughed when I finished my story and even I admit that it was much funnier once the situation was over.

I am a staple in almost everyone's diet. Friends like me are a complement to any other friends I get on with almost everyone, remaining mostly in the background, but providing substance when it would otherwise be lacking. What Flavour Are You?

I'm bread!!!! Yay~

Mmm...I'm in the mood for french bread or cape seed.

I am absolutely exhausted. My puppies still don't do their business on the training pads so I've been scrubbing and steam vacuuming the carpet and wiping the vinyl floor constantly. I also had to finish all the chores my mother gave me before her and father left for their trip.

There were so many many chores to do. So I'm a bit of a zombie right now. Not that being a zombie is a bad thing....I <3 zombies.

I read a great online news article. It's from a while back but it just made me smile when I read it.

Reason behind the skytrain halt....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I just read the newspaper today. The reason why the skytrain was out of service for the afternoon and early evening yesterday was a very tragic one.

Exerpt from the 24 HOURS paper:

Skytrain Death:

The B.C Coroner's Service is investigating a death at the Broadway SkyTrain station yesterday afternoon after a person somehow ended up on the track and was killed by an oncoming train. Yesterday's fatal is the 44th death on the line since it went into operation.

So sweet!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I usually commute via bus, skytrain, bus when I go to school if I can't get a ride with my dad. Today my dad came and picked me up from school so I was very lucky that I didn't have to commute for 2 hours. When he stopped at the gas station to refill the tank, my cell phone started to vibrate in my jacket pocket.

It was my friend from school whom I hung out with before I left campus.

She heard on the radio that the skytrain had stopped running because of a medical emergency so she wanted to know if I was okay and where I was. I replied that I was in the car with my dad. She said that that was good and knowing I commute usually, she was worried that I was standing at the skytrain station waiting.

That phone call left me feeling so happy that I have someone like her who cares so much about my well-being as my friend. She's a wonderful person.

I probably should get to sleep. I have to get up in 4.5 hours. Night!

Work

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
This happened to me at work.

A customer comes in with her daughter and husband and turns towards the table where we place rolls and breads that we've bagged for customer convenience. She grabs a bag of apricot rolls; there are half a dozen in the bag all neatly stacked, and asks me how much it is. I said that it's a dollar each coming to $6 total. She said 'What?! That's way too much.' And dropped the bag onto the table making a mess and knocking over other bags. It takes so long to bag all those rolls and for her just to do that really annoyed me, because we would be the ones having to reorganize everything.

Then she asked for a couple of sliced loaves and I cut them for her, bagged them and placed them on the counter. She then asks 'Oh, do you accept credit cards?,' to which I replied, 'Sorry, no we don't. Only cash or debit.'

She got all huffy. 'Ugh, that's such a drag.' Then she asked me for a sheet of paper to fill out to complain about not accepting credit cards, saying that at another branch, they were asking customers to fill out a petition to whether or not credit cards should be accepted. I've never heard of such a thing at my branch and told her that I didn't know. She then asked for my manager and my co-worker who watched the entire scene replied for me saying that the manager wasn't in, which was true. So the customer asked for our manager's number which we don't hand out to people because of policy. So my co-worker asked her to call back to the bakery the next day to talk to the manager. The customer just sighed and said 'whatever.' Her husband paid for the breads by debit.

When I placed the breads in a plastic carrier bag and gave it to the customer, she just huffed, grabbed the bag from me practically. Before she went out the door, she said quite loudly, 'Not accepting credit cards, it's ridiculous.'

I was angry and shocked at how rude she was. Of course, my mood lightened by the time the next customer came in but still....I was just shocked. I think her husband and daughter were embarrassed by her display because they were really really quiet and stood a bit away from her. But really, she's supposed to be an adult and the way she acted was childish. Some customers behind her rolled their eyes which caused me to smile a bit. Thank goodness for my co-worker who cheered me up after that incident by making me laugh.

Ah I had 9 hours of sleep today so I'm feeling so so good~

Thank you to all those who commented on my last post. I received some wonderful suggestions on how to study and I'm trying them out right now to see how my study habits improve.

I haven't posted in so long!

Okay, I have more H/D plots in my head. I actually thought them out during Cell biology class. ^ ^ A D/H/S PWP and I've got more ideas for what to write on my other fic that I've started. The Little Green riding hood one.

I dropped Earth and Ocean Science. It wasn't that interesting and I didn't really need it. So since that's gone, I have a longer break so I could study more instead of having to travel far on campus. I swear my University is like a city itself. It's huge~ It's gorgeous during winter time when it snows. The trees will all be covered in it and it'll look like a Winter Wonderland.

Ooooh and my 3 year contract with my cell phone service provider ends Monday. I got a new phone yesterday and signed up with some other cell phone service provider. *happy dance*

My life is so systematic now: wake up, get ready for school, sleep during transportation there, go attend class, eat during break, go attend more class, go home, study, eat dinner, study, take a shower, study, play computer, and sleep. And cycle repeats again. Except for Mondays and Wednesdays where I go to work right after school but when I go home, it's pretty much the same. Even this weekend, I have study periods that are quite lengthy. It's only been 4 days of school already so I don't really know how long I can keep up this study routine but I'm going to try.

I really need to up my GPA to around 65~70% to get into the major that I want, Animal Biology, since I pretty much screwed myself over by slacking off last year. Stupid sciences....Organic chemistry and cell biology is kicking my ass right now with the amount of readings I have to do.

Cell biology: I've had to read 94 pages already for Monday. Still got 25 pages more to go.
Chemistry: I've had to read the pre-requisite material consisting of ~120 pages and about 40pages of the new material.

I've had to read quite a bit for Math and Earth and Ocean Science but those weren't bad. For my readings, I jot down notes while I read...just things I feel are important. I, then, do the problems in the textbook. Afterwards, I return to my notes and revise to get directly to the point.

I bet that if I had a good study habit last year, it wouldn't be so hard right now. I fell asleep last night on my problem set answer sheet and woke up with my penciled answers imprinted on the side of my face. Gave myself a scare when I saw myself in the bathroom this morning. I thought I was breaking out.

The most wonderful thing happened to me on Thursday during my chemistry class. I had pre-read on the lesson so I understood everything the Professor was talking about. I was even able to explain to the girl sitting next to me. It was just the most awesome thing. I felt so 'smart.' So keeping up with Chemistry is a very good thing.

Does anyone have good study techniques? I think the reason why I take so long too is because I'm a freak at neat writing. I can't stand it if I write messy on my notes so I end taking a bit more time than is probably necessary to keep my hand writing 'pretty.'

And I hate the new Vista WebCT. It's causing major lagging on my computer and it has too many buttons and tabs so I can't find what I need. Grrrr.....

I called today to tell my manager that I was going to quit my job and focus more on school work. I have two more shifts left before I'm done. I'm going to miss all the new friends I made there.

I'm so glad I have this journal and decided to write in it more. And hi F-list!!! How are you doing? I hope you all have a great day.

Drained.....

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Ugh...it's only been two days of school and I'm already exhausted. I resolved to do better academic wise, so I've been studying a lot lately. Doing all the pre-reading, problem sets. I have 6 courses this term and 5 courses next term. I live pretty far from my University so it takes me 2 hours to commute...thus if I have an early morning class...I have to wake up at 5. And then on Mondays and Wednesdays, I go to work right after classes end.

End result? *goes green* JAZNGURL SMASH!

Stuck~

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I've started to write this new H/D story.

It's called:

Little Green Riding Hood and the Big Bad and Naughty Wolf

*snort* The title is a bit lame but it suited the story plot I had in mind so I decided on it. I might change it later though.

Anyways, the story is supposed to be a smuttier HP spin-off of 'Little Red Riding Hood.'

So far I've finished the sort-of-prologue. I like it. Now the real story part I'm having problems with.

I don't know how to start it and how to keep it flowing. I've vaguely got some plot points in mind but I haven't completely planned out what's going to happen. So I'm a bit stuck.

I think I'll sit on it for a few days before I continue. My Notepads of Ideas is kind of blank at the moment so hopefully by the time I do start, it'll have something written on it.

I still have two Naruto fics that I've started but haven't finished. Damn this writer's block.....

School starts on September 4th. *ack!*

Oooh and I watched V for Vendetta again today.
I just absolutely <3 that movie. I'm so attracted to V. Even though you don't see his face at all, his character and his voice...is just 'guh'. And the whole political aspect of the movie is so interesting - Anarchy against Fascism, the usage of propaganda and censorship at its worst.

"VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you, and you may call me V."

This entire monologue never fails to make my heart beat faster and make me smile. Is it odd that I find a man who wears a Guy Fawkes mask and knows his 'V' words so well that he could speak such a lengthy alliteration absolutely hot? *grins*

*sigh* I wish that my University would have the final total amount calculated instead of leaving a portion of it unaccounted for until 4 days before the deadline.

I went on Tuesday to pay for my tuition. I thought it was done and over with. Imagine my surprise when yesterday I checked my financial account online and I still had $435 to pay.

So I had to go to the campus again today to pay the rest of the tuition. I figured that since I was going to the University, I might as well bring my books with me that I need to get refunded. So my parents went with me since it was their credit card that was used to purchase the books.
